The Edson Queiroz Foundation (FEQ) takes pride in fostering the social, educational, and cultural development of the State of Ceará and the Northeast region of Brazil. Founded in the 1970s, in a context marked by a profound educational deficit and regional underdevelopment, the Foundation was established in March 1971 as an initiative of industrialist Edson Queiroz to give back to his homeland through social responsibility. The most significant social project of the Foundation materialized in the creation of the University of Fortaleza (Unifor). Established in 1973, Unifor is a higher education institution recognized at the regional, national, and international levels. The University is committed to excellence in its mission to contribute to socioeconomic, scientific, and cultural development through professional education, research, and community engagement. In addition to undergraduate programs, it offers graduate studies at the stricto sensu level, with master’s and doctoral degrees, as well as lato sensu programs, including specializations and MBAs.The slogan Teaching and Learning has become part of the academic journey of more than 100,000 students, including undergraduate and graduate alumni.
Role in the project:
FEQ will contribute actively to the following areas: communication, dissemination, and engagement; provision of research and technology infrastructure; research performance; technology development; testing and validation of approaches and ideas; as well as prototyping and demonstration.
