Mandat International is an independent foundation that aims at promoting international cooperation with a focus on research, international law, and sustainable development. In this regard, Mandat International is actively engaged in multiple international research projects with a focus on innovative technologies (such as artificial intelligence, 5G, DLT, Internet of Things, etc.), sustainable development (smart cities, environmental impact assessment, etc.) and international law (privacy, data protection, etc.). With its consultative status to the UN and as an ITU sector member, it is participating in international developments, also supporting the organisation of several international conferences and fora, such as the IoT Week, Digital Around the World and the Privacy Symposium.

Role in the project:

Mandat International (MI) leads the Legal and Ethical activities within the MULTIPULM Project. It coordinates legal and ethical activities at a partner and Consortium level, focusing on ensuring patients' data remain protected throughout the project. Leveraging its long experience and expertise, it guides the project in ensuring compliance with applicable legislations, not only at an EU level, but globally, taking into account the special characteristics of each pilot site.
